Bible Bowl info is available The dictionary defines an introvert as one who has turned inward and who concentrates on oneself. There are also introverted churches that are only concerned about the internal workings of their fellowship. Introverted churches are not very concerned about how they are viewed by others. Introverted churches do little to evangelize the community in which they exist. Rubel Shelly in his book, I Knew Jesus before He Was a Christian: And I Liked Him Better Then, pointed out some characteristics of introverted and extroverted churches.
Introverted churches are all about getting needs met through persons and programs. Extroverted churches are about relating to God and to others in authentic unselfishness. Introverted churches view scripture as a law book that is to be studied for its rules and formulas. Extroverted churches see scripture as the narrative of God’s patient and redemptive love for humans. Introverted churches believe church existS for “people like us” and, as a result, makes others feel uncomfortable. Extroverted churches see themselves as places that reconcile diverse people and groups. Introverted churches see worship as a defined, limited series of actions marked off by an opening and a closing prayer. Extroverted churches see worship as a way of life that envisions all its activities under God’s will – with all things made sacred by the Spirit.
Go make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to observe all that I commanded you (See Matthew 28:19-20).

WHAT IS IT? A monthly fundraiser for the youth group. It will be held on the last Sunday of each month from 9:30AM-10 AM. Bible classes will end at 9:30 on the last Sunday so members can enjoy coffee, hot chocolate and muffins--all for generous donations
WHAT FOR? The funds help to fund youth activities like Bible Bowls and Leadership Training for Christ as well as help support an 11-year old Chinese orphan named Lan Jing Huang the youth group is sponsoring through international Christian adoption agency Holt International

When the last Eldership at the Fairfield Church dissolved in 2001, the church accepted a plan to establish a leadership from men who could and would become Elders in the future. Thus the concept of a transitional leadership team was instituted. The current four men serving as transitional leaders were approved by two-thirds of those who attended a special congregational meeting for the purpose of confirming their nomination.
The prayer of the Fairfield church and the transition leadership team is that God will raise up men who will be desirous of and who meet the qualities of an Elder as outlined in I Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

ROBERT JOHNSON
I have been a member of the Lord’s church since I was thirteen years
old. My active servant-ship has spanned the past seventeen years
including the most recent three plus years with the Fairfield congregation. Prior to Fairfield, I worshiped at the Hilltop Church of Christ in Richmond, CA.
I have been married to my wife Rozalind for more than 30 years and we have three adult daughters. I enjoy working for the Lord in helping others as well as operating as a functioning member of the Lord’s body. I enjoy listening to classical and jazz music, studying cultural history and Oakland Raiders football. My vision for the Church at Fairfield is to have us become unified embodying the model described in I Corinthians chapter 12.
MICHAEL MOSHIER
I have been a member of the Fairfield Church of Christ for 26 years. I served as a deacon at the church for 5 years and on the Transition Leadership Team for 9 years. I have traveled to Central and South America for medical mission trips for 10 years. I have been married for 27 years and have 2 children. I am a physician in Family Medicine and have worked in Fairfield for 26 years. My interests include bird watching and photography.
DWIGHT PERRY
I have been privileged to serve as the pulpit minister for the
Fairfield church since 2001. I have been married to Diana for
over 40 years and authored the book The Shepherd’s Side of
the Fence. I enjoy reading and spending time with those who
love the Lord. My fondest memory of ministry is the blessing of
baptizing numerous souls into the family of the Lord. My vision
for the church in Fairfield is that we develop a unity of the Spirit which results in the bond of peace.
JOHN REED
I was literally born into the body of Christ. I was born to George and Geletha Reed in a church parsonage attached to a local church building where my father served as minister. Growing up in the home of a minister provided me with invaluable training in ministry and afforded me tremendous opportunities to serve in the Lord’s Church. I have served the Lord’s church as elder, minister, youth minister, and teacher. I love to teach, share the gospel, and exhort others to claim the Lord as lord of their lives and live for Him. Additionally, I love to help individuals discover their true potential and find more joy and fulfillment in life by encouraging a strong desire to move from the physical to the spiritual element of life.
