We think you will get most of the answers you seek here. If you have any questions that we do not address below, please give us a call at 707-425-2373 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. What is worship service like?
Our worship consists of singing, prayers, communion and a message from the Bible. The singing is a cappella led by our worship minister, John Reed. The prayers, Scripture readings and communion are led by different men in the congregation. You will hear a relevant and practical message from one of our pulpit ministers. The message usually lasts around 30 minutes. We don’t always offer an invitation or altar call during our services. It depends on the theme of the morning’s message. However, we believe that the invitation to give your life to Jesus is always open and encourage people to respond whenever they are ready. Most simply respond through the communication cards or by contacting one of our ministers.
Am I allowed to participate in worship?
Absolutely! We encourage everyone to participate in our worship. There are several ways to participate.
In song. Our singing is congregational and is led by a praise team. The team provides representation of soprano, alto, tenor, and bass lines within a given song. The words are provided on the screen and we encourage you to join us. You don’t need a great voice, just sing to God from your heart. While we encourage everyone to participate, we do not force it.
In communion. Communion is open to anyone who wants to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. You do not have to be a member of our congregation to participate.
In prayer & thought. Throughout worship you will have many opportunities for silent prayer and/or personal reflection. We encourage you to listen to the message and let God speak to your heart through His Word.
How long does worship last?
Our assembly begins at 9:00 AM. We have Bible classes, fellowship, and worship. This all lasts for about for about an hour and a half. We also offer a children’s worship hour for children ages 5 to 10. Children’s worship hour is simultaneous with the worship hour.
What should I wear to worship?
You will find a little of everything here from a coat and tie to jeans and a t-shirt. We don’t make a big deal about dress. Just come as you are.
What will my children do while I worship?
If your children are 2 years old or younger there is a nursery available.
If they are 5 years through 3rd grade, they can attend children’s worship hour. Of course, if you are uncomfortable dropping off your children on the first visit that’s no problem. You are welcome to stay with them in the children’s worship hour or they may attend worship with you.
What about Bible classes?
We offer Bible study for all ages every Sunday 9:00 to 9:45 AM. Our Sunday evening small group studies will resume in the Fall. Our
mid-week Bible hour for all ages is on Wednesday nights at 6:30 PM.
